Mr. Helnwein, you are a genius. I am only sixteen years old and despite many other creative influences form other artists, you have become a large inspiration within my mind, and have provided more and more creative ideas fo me as an artist.
I first became deeply interested in your work after you did some of the conceptual work for two of my favourite bands, Marilyn Manson and Rammstein.
Now, after looking frequently at your work my artwork has improved even more than before, and I have you to thank. Thank you.

Went to the SF fine art museum...saw some of the coolest pieces I have seen in a long time.... I can’t really say I know alot about art, but I do like to go and admire from time to time..and his work was not only visually beautiful...but also thought provoking …the first thing I did when I got home was look him up online…..I likes him a lot!!!!!!!!

Meines Erachtens nach hat es noch nie jemand vermocht, seiner Kunst soviel Ausdruck zu verleihen... bis auf Gottfried Helnwein.
Für mich ist er die größte Inspiration und der überwältigenste Künstler unserer Zeit, der es wie kein anderer versteht, die tiefsten Abgründe der Gesellschaft in perfekten Werken authentisch wiederzugeben.

Unsere heutige Gesellschaft hat Leute wie Helnwein bitter nötig, der mit seiner Kunst viel bewegt und aufrüttelt und Menschen (obviously all around the world) anspricht, die sich mit ihm und seinem Schaffen identifizieren. Ich bin sicher einer davon, und ich finde, dass, alleine schon dies geschafft zu haben (noch dazu als "Künstler",jetzt auf die Fotografie&Co bezogen) mehr als nur ein Beweis dafür ist, wie genial dieser Mann ist. Auch wenn viele Leute die Augen vor ähnlichen Dingen, die in seinen Werken vorkommen, verschliessen....

An insightful being; into the deepest crevices of 'anyone's' spirit.
Hope he goes on to film making. I edit in L.A. Would love to edit
one of his 'films.' Very akin to Ridley Scott and Giger. Am always in
awe when I am privileged enough to be invited to one of his openings since
his L.A. studio is only 2 blocks behind me in the downtown Arts District.
Wonderful family, which I'm certain, inspires him, also. Amazing frau!

Sometimes the difficulty with art is that it becomes popular, and gains a following of monkeys who imitate the original breakthrough. Then the innovator must either follow along with the growing crowd, or break with self and proceed in an entirely new direction. The latter seldom happens.
