February 2007 Gottfried, I first came upon your work in high school when we were supposed to do paintings in the style of an artist. my teacher suggested you, and I fell in love with your work. Since then ive strived to do work on your level, i always ask myself, "is it good enough for, or as good as, Helnwein?". sadly the answer is still no, although that purpose has gained me scholarships and numerous awards and notoriety. I also always loved the work of Marilyn Manson, and when i heard you two were collaborating, i nearly shit myself. I sincerely hope to meet you in person soon. we have a lot to talk about. |
