à la cARTe

Little Rock, Arkansas

RIVERA, WARHOL, HELNWEIN, CHIHULY AND VAN GOGH. FIVE CELEBRATED ARTISTS - FIVE ECCENTRIC PERSONALITIES -
A unique series of fundraising events celebrating art and artists
- five reasons to have a party! Young Patrons will host a series of Fall events, serving up famed artists from the Arkansas Arts Center Collection.

We’ll kick off the series, titled à la cARTe, by toasting Andy Warhol with a martini tasting fit for an American celebrity.
The four other events will be held in homes and restaurants around town and pair the artists with cocktails and cuisine from their countries of origin. We’ll even dish out great party gossip by talking about the outrageous behavior, numerous indiscretions and radical ideas that make each artist worth celebrating. Attend the entire series or pick and choose your favorites. There is nothing ordinary about these affairs!

Arkansas Arts Center celebrates Gottfried Helwein with à la cARTe event
(LITTLE ROCK, AR) – The Arkansas Arts Center presents the fourth event of the à la cARTe fundraising party series in honor of the contentious artist Gottfried Helnwein on November 17, 2005, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Adams in Conway.

Featuring compelling cuisine and a “no-holds-barred” bar, this event will unveil a
glimpse into the life of a man who shocked the artistic elite with his disturbing paintings.
Helwein’s famous work entitled Marilyn is a beautiful portrayal of the legendary
film star and is on display in the Arkansas Arts Center’s Stella Boyle Smith Gallery
during the à la cARTe series. Two of his other works entitled Giants and Mother’s Day
III will also be on display. All three pieces are part of the Arkansas Arts Center
Foundation Collection.
Coordinated by the Arkansas Arts Center Young Patrons, the à la cARTe
series is comprised of five parties, each celebrating one of five eccentric and important
artists – Andy Warhol, Dale Chihuly, Vincent Van Gogh, Gottfried Helnwein and Diego
Rivera.

The last event of the à la cARTe party series will be held on December 8, 2005, at
Mallard’s Bar in the Peabody Hotel from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. celebrating Mexican artist
Diego Rivera. Tickets to the Helnwein and Rivera events are $30 each. Proceeds from
each event benefit the Arkansas Arts Center.

Join Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Adams as they host a party celebrating Gottfried Helnwein, divisive yet exceptional artist.
